My SR is a young woman in Ship3, Div 114. Any other Moms out there? Only the form letter so far. Hoping to hear some news soon
Deb, those letters will get better and better as the time goes by. The days creep by but the weeks pass quickly :-)
Feel better, FTLW. I know you have been through the mill with this coughing/allergy stuff...hoping for relief soon!
And, AMEN, on the dog comments. Couldn't imagine life without the dogs our family has had...and the two I currently have (both rescues). They bring joy to my heart, exercise to my joints (the "boys" and I walk 3 miles a day!), and peace to my soul! So hoping that FTLW's dog finds the way back home...we had one that did a week after jumping out of our car about 2 miles from home (it was parked, thank goodness). Skinny, tired, hungry...but alive! Had that "pup" for many years after that. She never ran away again!
@FTLW - prayers and light from the west coast too. hope today is a better day all around
((((HUGS FTLW))))
I agree with zStartMom there are not such things as just a dog in my house. we have 8 now. Had to put my baby of 10yeas now about 1/1/2 years ago, the hardest thing i had to do and right before Michael left for boot camp his dog Bosely(pug) had to have emergency surgery. He said mom i will pay for just make him better. Well we did and now i am sleeping with his dog along with 5 other ones. At times its is cramped in the bed, but i wouldnt have it any other way. When i have a bad day i come home from work and they are there waiting for me and tail wagging. They are family around here. I laughed at my husband and said these are the other kids we didnt have. Hoping and praying you will find him.
***HUGS, FTLW***
No such thing as "just" a dog. In our household, dogs are family, I have my Baby Bear glued to my side right now. Doing doggy prayers for you and pup, and allergy recovery prayers for YOU! Call your local rescue to get the word out, call the local paper . . . usually "lost" pet posts are free. Finally, try Craigs List--there's a lost pet posting area.
ear PIR group,
I’m sorry I was not on yesterday…I have been reading but been unable to post…had a “day” in the FireTeam household.
I have been having a horrible time with my allergies and so had a skin test in the morning…I only made it half way through…started coughing etc. and feeling funny. So they stopped and gave me a shot of…I don’t remember…and said we’ll finish next month. Yip-pee.
Anyways…it wiped me out! Then I got a call from my DH and was told that our sons little dog had gone missing. It’s a long story but basically this is a dog with issues that will never go away (we did not have her for the first year of her life)…looked everywhere …family had appointments they had to still get done…life goes on…and I was so wiped and then upset that I finally just crashed. I didn’t have a car to continue the search anyways and history has shown that if we don’t find her in the first hour of being gone…she is not near us anymore. Of course night comes and now I am just plain worried and trying not to “picture” things in my mind.
I know it is “just a dog”...but prayers and good thoughts would sure help.
Thanks, Diannep! It just made me hungry for more letters! I feel we've all passed an important milestone today!
I hope everyone had a great day, we have been getting ready for a school fundraiser all day today, a yard sale for tomorrow (OUTSIDE) burrr, I am gonna freeze.
Amac: Awwwww....that goofy husband is still in there...you'll see! Just refining the other part! The maturity seen in these new sailors at PIR really is remarkable, I will say though. But all will see that their "true natures" are still there...
