Welcome, Amac! You may want to start a Division discussion above for 112...don't think there is one started yet. That way, there is a place for you all to "chat" and get to know one another who have SRs training together. Please stay on this page too though since we will be answering questions here/dispensing lots of info. There is also info posted above in the discussions by FTLW, so please go through to read up on it!
Hello, Everyone!
I received my form letter last week- Ship 09 Div 112. I see several others with the same! My husband is 31, so I am guessing he is one of the oldest there, haha. Poor guy :).
I booked Residence Inn Waukegen and want to squeal with joy every time I think of going to his PIR and seeing him! He goes onto San Antonio, so from what I read, only get Liberty friday. But I praying like crazy that something changes and he gets more time. (please please, more time!). I live in Socal, own a dance studio, and hope to get to know all of you a bit more!
Oh, that's right this PIR is on Easter weekend. Those who stay in Great Lakes may get an extra day of liberty so you may want to plan your trip to allow you more time with your Sailors just in case.
Andrewsmom I am sure someone will have an answer for you about where he will have his very short A-school.
And, if they get leave on Easter Sunday because they are staying in Great Lakes, what time is curfew?
I'm not sure Andrewsmom but maybe Diannep or FTLW knows more about that :-)
Question for the Veteran Moms. My son is S-PACT undesignated. What do they normally do after boot camp? Do they stay in Great Lakes for a while longer? If so, how long generally? And then where to they go? I'm trying to figure out whether he will have leave on Easter Sunday.
Welcome, MysticEyes. Glad you are here! I am one of the N4Moms veterans along with Lala, Betsy, and FTLW...and a few others...who are here to help. Ask any questions that you like and please be sure to scroll through the discussions above for lots of info!
ragdoll: You may want to start a discussion for your division up above. Just like MysticEyes did for her division. Please be sure to stay on this page too because we N4Moms veterans don't have much time to scan the discussion groups for questions---better to post them here.
I hope you all get great letters this week. Just remember with yesterday being a holiday you may have to stalk the mail man an extra day. If you get that first letter and your recruit seems down or homesick try not to worry. It is very common for the first couple of letters but it will get better and you can tell from their letters and calls that it does, They start out hating it and wondering what the heck they got themselves into but by the end they usually love it and are very happy with their decision :-) Hang in there, letters and calls will come and you will feel much better :-) I have you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Good morning everyone,,one day closer to seeing our boys/girls,,,,was a very rough weekend for me,,but looking forward to a letter this week,,my son told me when he called on the 12th,,that div 109 could start writing letters on the 19th,,,i guess come thursday it will be time to stalk the mailman,,,,have a great day everyone
Welcome to all the new members!
Hang in there!
Read the Discussions up above for info about BC and PIR...Knowledge is power! Ask questions...that's what we "veteran" moms are here for! No dumb questions,K?
Also, bend our ears...there is always a virtual (HUG) waiting!
