@MichaelC'sMom, i have made arrangements at the quality inn,,3 miles from base, and even has a shuttle to and from,,nice rooms and failrly good price,we are driving up on the 5th as well but we are only 3 hours away at the most,,
Check Southwest for airfare to Milwaukee, they have no change fee if you have to change the dates and they have free checked bag. If you have to change the date you only pay the difference in the ticket and not loose the money you paid and have to buy another ticket. Also depending on deals they are having, they often offer specials to Chicago from specific cities for $69 to $89 for one way which is a very good deal. I know that had a commercial recently for $69 from Greenville SC or Orlando to Chicago. It was offered at other locations as well but I can't remember where those were.
Just received letter and PIR date. My son is Ship 09 Div.111. We are from NJ, any suggestions about hotel or airfare. It seems like a long drive.
You are now officially:
TG 21 — 07 Divisions (109–114 & 921) Graduate Friday, April 6, 2012
...as per RTC Website.
Woo-Hoo!
You guys are doing great (shhhh don't tell the other PIR groups! LOL Love 'em all)
Hi shermb- My son, Todd, is in Ship 09, Div 112 as well. We just received the form letter yesterday. We live in Portland, OR so I had to get airfare and hotel reservations for PIR. We are excited. Have a great day!
Good morning everyone, I hope you all have a good day. I know this is hard but stay busy writing those letters and this time will pass much faster than you ever thought possible. Keep encouraging them that they can do this and know in your heart that you can do this too :-)
Thank you to MichealCsMom for starting this group. I just received my letter yesterday with the information for PIR ect. My son, Brian, is SHIP 09 DIV 112. Anyone else with same? We live in NE iowa so not too far from GL. Because I work today I won't be able to check back until after 6:30 this evening. Hope everyone has a great day.
48 more days until PIR!!!!
