N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Oh No StacyRenee!  Sounds like they are taking good care of him for you though.

I received a call today, but not a great call. My recruit has been in the ER since noon. It's killing me not being able to be there. He had his wisdom teeth puled this morning and a couple of hours later went to get lunch and passed out cold. Luckily someone was close and caught his fall, so he didn't hit his head. He was transported to the hospital and is still there. He said he hadn't had anything to eat all day and they had him take a hydrocodone, so that might of had something to do with it. I spoke with the nurse and she said all bloodwork was good and they were given him fluids. Does anyone know if they have to sit out today and tomorrow, will that set him back? He was all concerned and just wanted to go back.

Diane, that's great. It's so nice to hear their voices. I 'm happy for you! And hope that you had a nice call. I don't know why they haven't got any of our letters yet. I asked my son too and he said he hadn't received them either. I can't wait for April , this is torture

Just got a call from my SR!!! I was so happy I wanted to cry! And he sounded very tired or sad, although he said he was tired. He did say he was homesick but he made a point to say he was HAPPY!! And that the food was good and they eat a lot. He is ship 9 div 104..... Can't wait for him to get our letters!!!

I got a call also from my SR needing more information. He is div 140. Wasn't a regular call so he couldn't chit chat, but he did say that he likes his division and that they are working well together now, although they had a "few things to work out at first." He said today was their first official training day - so I guess that means it's 1-1 today. He sounded very tired and a bit down, but hanging in there. It was so good to hear his voice even though we couldn't talk long.

That is great Kimmi!  :)   Glad he is doing well.  Cool that you mentioned all of us supportive moms.  :D

I got a call from my boy!!! He needed more information so the call doesn't count as his "one call" Here is the low down- says the food is good, he feels like he made the right decision, I asked if he was happy, he said "define happy" and told me to ask again after graduation. I told him I joined this Mom's group- and he seemed to know all about it. I wanted to somehow get the word to him and all our SRs that we are here supporting them and we are all so proud of them. I"m loving being a Navy mom more and more.

You are welcome, Lala!

Everyone, make sure to mention the Navy Graduation discount when you call the hotels....if you say PIR discount, they may not know what you mean!
