OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

PS - Diannep and other veteran mom admins on the site, if there is ever anything I can do to pay forward all of the caring concern you showed to us, and hold a rookie mom's hand as she struggles through this experience, I hope you'll look me up.  I would love to be able to repay your many kindnesses.

Hi Everyone, like Winski, I'm feeling like the weekend is over and we're back to our normal lives.  Although we're pretty much worn out from all the excitement!  It was so great to meet some of you and I'm sorry I missed some others but hopefully we'll catch up with each other down the road.  The weekend was amazing.  I'm glad we ordered a DVD because I realized halfway through PIR that I wasn't taking any photos because I didn't want to miss a thing!  I hope we stay in touch - I'd like to know where your sailors end up and how they're doing. Mine is loving Goose Creek and TEXTED ME (yay!) a photo of their group shopping for laptops at Best Buy. They looked so happy and cute in their NSU's (see, I'm learning Navyspeak!!)

Fair winds and following seas to you all!

No, we didn't.  I'll just treasure that memory!

Abucking:  Did you or your sailor order the PIR DVD?  It has a segment when the door opens on it (or should---mine did!).  If you are interested in ordering it, I think it is $29.  Not sure if it is too late to order it, but you can call 847 578 6205 and see.

The weekend was great, but too short, of course!  Really wish I had videoed the door going up and the sailors marching in.  The one distinction  div 143 had in all of boot camp was that it was the first to march in!  My son made some great friends, and I did too, here and on FB.

Fzn2fb even recognized me by my picture...in a parking lot in the dark!

Hi Everyone! Well that was a roller coaster ride. Sorry I didn't get to meet any of you. But if you were at the Midway Airport on Sat I was there with my sailor wearing a pastel green shirt. It was bitter sweet seeing my husband. Friday was too rushed getting to our shuttle in time and getting him back on base, but Sat made up for it at the Airport. Things are still in the air as far as me going to Pensacola to be with my husband. He doesn't understand his orders and needs to talk with someone. I guess everyone is in trouble over there and liberties are being taken away because of underage drinking... So it was good but short, I'm ready for the next thing. I hope you guys all had a wonderful time :-)

Oh, and I keep replaying in my head - "Now hear this, now hear this - LIBERTY CALL"  Perfect day :))

What an amazing weekend!!!  Was so happy to meet the Momma's at the meet & greet!  I have to say - I have never had a prouder moment than when the doors rolled open at the ceremony :)  still get goosebumps thinking about it!  I hope we stay in touch!

Well the weekend is over and we are back to our daily routine.  I want to tell yall that I so enjoyed meeting all of you at Sarges!  It was so sweet, the hugs and smiles from my Navy family!  I hope we can stay in touch and keep each other updated on our sailors' lives and accomplishments.

FishingQuilter did you make the anchor cookies?  If so, I was the one in line with you at the end to talk to Sarge, and my husband took about 5!  He said they were very good!

CatMom509 you had the perfect verse for me yesterday and I so appreciate the Lord laying that one on your heart!  I was very "down" about my son's decision to leave the spec ops and his early departure to Florirda.  I was really questioning what was going on, That verse really helped me to remember God is in control no matter what I think my son should or should not be doing!  I have to accept what decisions he makes, and lean on God for understanding!
