All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).
Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.
Mask Mandate has been lifted but you are still required to be vaccinated.
RESUMING LIVE PIR - 8/13/2021

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.
Relax, trust the Navy, respect your sailor's decisions, be patient with your sailor (we want answers - sometimes they don't have the answers!) and look to the NFM website if you are confused or need support. It's a great source of information and comfort!
Our Navy experience so far...

Hi Navy Moms, my name is Kathy and my son Reid is at boot camp scheduled for PIR (hopefully!) on April 12th. I don't know anything about the military or this forum so please forgive if I'm saying or doing something stupid (and please tell me!). Reid's in Ship 13, Div 147 - anybody else have a son/daughter in this group?
Welcome to NavyforMoms.com. My name is Ronny and my son has been in the Navy since February of 2012. He is currently stationed in San Diego with a Helicopter Squadron. He is an Aviation Structural Mechanic. I hope you find all the info you are looking for here, and if you have any questions feel free to ask. My son is 3rd Generation Navy, so I do know a little about the Navy..:)
If you have a new Sailor who is in Boot Camp, or leaving soon, visit CallsforRecruits.org and I will send you FREE Pre-Paid Phone cards for your SR to use while they are in boot camp. I started that program when my son left for Boot Camp :)
Welcome Aboard and I wish your Sailor Fair Winds and Following Seas.
