Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Yes last Sunday and got a letter too. He is doing well so far but was sick since he got the flu vaccine. Hanging in there tho sounded good. Can't wait to see him. Tho it won't be for long I'm sure. Then off to SC for Nuke school

Hi there! My son Mikey is Ship 11 Div 156. His PIR is 4/15! My son got so sick after the flu vaccine! It seemed to linger on forever! I think he's getting better now. He is going to NUC A school in Goose Creek, SC. He said his title will be EM-Engineering Mate. I'm have a hard time learning all these acronyms!! LOL!!
Does anyone know about the appropriate dress code to attend this ceremony? The reason I ask is because I booked our flight with Spirit Airlines through Orbitz....the round trip fare was very reasonable for 3 of us from California to Chicago and back. I don't travel much so I'm not very saavy with booking tickets and what to look for. After I had already booked the tickets I went back in to see what their restrictions on carry on was. OMG....the free carry on has very small dimensions and the normal carry on size gets charged extra! Then I went into the reviews (which I should have done from the get go) and read horrible reviews from very dissatisfied customers! I'm scared but there is nothing I can do about it now....no refunds and no changing! Anyway, I have to pack VERY light so that's why I ask about the dress code. I don't want to take anything extra that is not needed.
It's getting close!!! I can't wait to wrap my arms around my son!!! He's having a hard time...he said he's not sorry for joining but he never thought he would have such a hard time adjusting to being away from his family. He ripped himself away from us like a band aid!!! He went from being with us all the time to the next day far away, alone in a whole new environment. He said he knows it's for the better, however, he never thought he would be such a big cry baby!!! LOL!!! My poor kid...he left being a 19 year old boy to a 19 year old man in such a short time....as a mother I feel my heart bleeding for him, but I know it's for his own good and he needed this kind of structure. Here at home I couldn't rip him away from his video games. He was very responsible with his job after he graduated high school which was a good thing...but the rest of his time was on those darn games!! That was my only complaint...he's always been a good son though...

Only about two weeks to go! My son is in Ship 11, Div 155. We've received two phone calls and about 5 letters. I miss him so much but I'm proud of him.
