~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Many, many prayers...
Seems we lost some of our sailors in the tragic WA state mudslide. Prayers for their families and for Lala's family connection to this tragedy as well:

Michelle, Did your daughter ask for a supervisor? Tell her to work her way up the chain until a solution can be reached for both parties. Airlines can be very picky on refunding tickets.
Good Morning, Friends~~
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people He has chosen as his own inheritance."
Psalm 33:12
Thank you everybody - now I have a new problem. My daughter is trying to get her flight refunded. They are telling her that she can only cancel and get a refund in the case of death or medical. She was able to convince them that it is for a medical reason she won't be flying out. They are sending her paper work that needs to be filled out by my son's doctor so she can get her money back. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to deal with this or who to contact?
Thanks to all of you for all of the support!
Michelle- I am sooo sorry to hear about this about your son. Please stay strong I will be praying for your entire family. Biigggg HHUUGGG! This is Angelina (Big Sis Div 148)
Michelle - My heart goes out to you and your son. I'll pray for his physical and emotional healing. Stay positive and know that God always has something better planned. Stay strong!
Good morning everyone, Happy HuMp DaY
If your Sailor will fly out to a new base on PIR weekend and you plan to meet them at the airport you should mail this info on an index card to your recruit. Once they get their itinerary they should fill it out and then keep it to give it to you at PIR. They won't have this info in time to mail it back to you. When they go back to their ship and rack to check out remind them to get this. This will keep you from ending up at the wrong airport. :)
Please fill this out when you get your flight itinerary/orders and then give it to us at PIR. Do not mail it.

I am so sorry about your son, Michelle. I know what a disappointment this has to be, but when one door closes, another door opens, and I'm sure that door will be to something wonderful!
Michelle,
I am thinking the Navy probably discovered this before your son would have found it himself and had it diagnosed. May your own doctors be able to help your son heal quickly~~ Blessings for a bright future~~
