~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

hola to all!

It is finally warming up here in the Chicagoland area...I'm sure the Sailors that have been up here since February will appreciate the warm and sunny feeling.

Angelina - mi amiga!!! I love that story and just like BrittBratt said..I can see it too! You my dear have such a radiant personality and every time I think of you, I remember your smile and your big heart! Lucky for you that you get to work at the happiest place on earth and I am sure you get to see lots of smiles everyday from kids of all ages! Call me when you get a chance just to catch up! :)

BrittBratt - yes! My respects to you for the job that you do! Also glad to hear that your Sailor is doing well. Hope to hear about your upcoming wedding plans and all the best to you!

Lorena - I also stayed at the Navy Lodge and wouldn't you agree that it is a great place to stay? Too bad I didn't run into you to meet you in person.

All the other moms and loved ones here...I pray for all of our Sailors wherever they are and for the SRs going thru boot camp. Not everyone can do what they do and bless their hearts for being so brave and courageous to serve our great nation!

We are a Navy Family! Every Friday is especially meaningful now knowing that it is PIR day for the new sailors and their families! What an amazing day!

Hooyah!!!

Hello everyone!!!  I am very happy to hear everyone sailor is safe after that horrible weather.

BrittBratt0820 You are a NURSE that is sooo awesome I stand and salute you. not everyone can so that. You have a big heart.

Mitch7790 I am so glad to hear to hear your Sailor is also well and able to play with his brothers that must have been fun for all of them!!

How is everyone else doing?

I want to share a fun story from Disneyland. I was working on the Steam Trains just this last Sunday. and while we were doing our Flag retreat ceremony, Disneyland band plays all of the different Military branches hymn song and salutes that branch. and at the end they play Star Spangle Banner. so at the end I usually say out loud "play Ball" as they say at a baseball game. Well little guy about maybe 5years old yelled it out just like me. We looked at each other and his family and stated laughing together. His mom and dad laughed too. Turns out he is a big Baseball fan like me. We chit chatted and then they left. a couple of hours later they came back and the little boy had a small Mickey dressed in a baseball outfit. I was melting his parents took of picture of him and Me holding the plush. That reminded me of why I work at such a Magical place!!!  Well just wanted to share. hope to hear from everyone soon

Good Morning everyone! Praise God that none of our Sailors were injured and remained safe throughout the breakout of severe weather! I'm, for one, am so relieved that my Sailor and others down in MS didn't have to encounter those tornadoes. Gotta stay prayed up!

Angelina, I am a RN in Cardiovascular Disease. So yes, my days are very long. But I love what I do.

Thanks Angelina.  I talked to him yesterday.  He said that Pensacola was indeed flooding, but he had the day off and was able to play online computer games with his brothers, so he wasn't in any danger at that time:)

Hi Everyone!!  I just want to thank you all of you for all your help and support during BC, all the information you shared, I just want you to know that I followed all steps that needed to be taken to the final day of PIR and days to follow!!  My family and I stayed at the Navy Lodge..... great Service!! Close to base, close to train station and to TSC after PIR, my son is staying at Great Lakes, I didn't miss  him marching to the main gate on Friday after PIR, picking him up by 0600 and dropping him at his new place every night by 2100, cooking breakfast sat & sun with his home made flour tortillas.  PIR was overwhelming, I have no words to describe the Pride of been an American, living in this Country and been a Proud Mother of a US Navy Sailor!!!  The meet & greet was Amazing also, and Sarge who took care of us at the airport......what a really nice person!!.  My son is staying at Great Lakes, we took some civilian clothes for him, his cell phone, charger, lap top, tennis shoes, and gave them to him after he was transferred to TSC on Friday, since that day it feels more comfortable  we are in contact with him since early in the morning, texting a "good morning" and many more thru the day and ending the day with a  face time  when everyone is at home.  Congratulations to all Sailors and their families!!!!!
