N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Nope, the husbands usually don't "get it."  God Bless Them, they try....I think it is the testosterone that blocks that part of their brain!  :-)  Hence, the need for groups like this one for us Ladies!  We all "understand" here!  :-)

So adorable, Lala.  Can't wait to hear her reaction when she opens it!  She knows how talented her mom is....so no telling what she is expecting from you!

Good Morning All!

I hope you don't mind but I just have to share what I have been working on all evening. Most of you know my Sailors are expecting a baby girl and they are home this weekend. We are having a baby shower tomorrow and I made a baby blanket with her name, Eastyn, on it. I can't share it on my page because then the surprised would be spoiled but on a private group she won't be able to see it lol. So I am sharing it with all my Navy Mom Friends :)

Very very sad that the husbands just do not get it! They do not understand and when you want to talk about it they either walk away or you get one word answers-they just do not know how to deal with it-thank the lord for n4m-they rock!! I could not be able to be somewhat calm if it was not for the momas!

sad moment tonight. Most Fridays we eat out (sonic) and the girl and I always went to get it. We would sit and talk about our days and funny things that happened. Going alone was very hard. Husband does not get it. This plus no letter yet has really bummed me out. I am afraid for the mailman tomorrow if I don't get a letter.

Had a wonderful experience today. I was serving in our church's kitchen for a funeral lunch. The funeral was for a WWII vet and the honor guard came to the church to do the military salutes. My sr's twin was helping me and he started talking to the honored vets. When they found out that he was enlisting on Tuesday and that his brother was at Rtc the conversation got really interesting. The good things these guys said about the Navy (even from the Air Force guy) was priceless! If I ever had any doubts before they are completely gone now!..the Navy is really respected!
