N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Something everyone needs to be aware of. You will need current photo ID not only to get into PIR but also if you plan to fly. Check your ID and make sure it isn't about to expire. There was a mom for this past weeks PIR who didn't know her license had expired and she got to the airport and could not fly with her ID. She had to leave the airport and go to DMV, renew her license and take the paper copy along with her old ID back to the airport and it cost her quite a bit of money to change her flights to later that day. It was a huge mess so don't take that chance.

Good Morning Ladies,

What a happy Sunday! We get to see our SR's on Friday! I have a question for you. My hubby and I have been talking about a graduation present for our SR but are not sure what we should get him. We did get him the challenge coin, but we were wondering is there something specific we should be getting him and if families do get their SR's graduation presents. Thank you!

I am still unsure about traveling with brownies-cracklins-if I have a carry on bag-are these permitted?

Ladies - weather forecast shows snow flurries Friday evening in GL. For you southern ladies like me, we better pack our big coats. I don't do well when the weather drops below 60, lol. Have a great day everyone.
