Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Just remember that we only have 3 season up here....Fall, Winter, and Orange barrel season.

wow, just looked at a long range weather forecast. Still showing snow at least once for GL, but P'cola (where my SR is headed) it'll be 80! Crazy!

Love the information and opinions. I had planned on only using the sign once Liberty was called so he could spot us quickly in the stands..I might have to think of something else. I'm thinking I have several bandanas..could wave one of them after Liberty is called so he can get a clue :) I think it would be easier for him to get to us than for us to go through all the Sailors to find him..cause they will all look the same :) LOL

just my 2 cents ;)

as far as the signs thing goes, you'll be sitting in sections, each div in it's own section. Your sailor can't look at you as they go by (I think that must be SO hard on them!) but they know Exactly where to go when Liberty gets called. Most everyone runs down to the floor, but stay near your section and they'll find you, no worries :)

AndrewB/Mom,

You might want to wait until PIR has passed because "maybe" your SR has already ordered you one and will give it to you after PIR when he comes back after getting his wallet from his barracks.  That's what my daughter did.  She pointed us to the NEX to meet her at while she went to get her wallet, she then came back with Divisions shirts for her sister and myself as surprise gifts!!  You can order more after PIR for other members of your family as they keep the designs for an indefinite time now.  Just have to know you SR's ship, division, and PIR date.  Here's Poseidon T-Shirts number to keep handy 972-347-6655.

Thanks so much Diannep!! Just one more question where can I order the div t-shirts? Should I wait to get it after the PIR or where can I order now? Thanks!

I just received 923's Division t-shirt if you want to see the design pm and I will send it to you.  I don't want to put any spoilers up for those who are waiting for PIR :)
