~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I am soooooo happy that we are down to 10 days!! (and 23+hours) but still the first number is 10!!! lol The fb group posted yesterday that the general guidelines for letter writing was to send the last letter by this Friday. Just thought I'd pass on that info.
I cannot wait to travel to the various places my SR will be stationed. First trip is South Carolina! Then San Antonio for SR #2...then North Carolina . After that it's anyones guess where they will end up :) It's a mystery :) LOL
Oh, and gate passes should be up today for this group to download! Be checking the RTC site throughout the day. Last week, they didn't get theirs posted until Tues, but usually it is Mon.
Here is the BattleStations general info link:

Good Morning Ladies! BattleStations for this group is just "around the corner!" I have some dates for the divisions. We cannot post them here, but if you would like them, please friend request/private message me. Include your division number. If you are on FB and trying to collect all dates, I can't do that. Please have the ladies private message me on this site for their particular division date.
If you friend request me your division info, I will friend request the date back to you. Don't hit "ACCEPT" as the info goes away! I normally don't accept friend requests just for BattleStations dates because by doing that for the past 2 years, my friend list is exploding! HA! So, I will friend request the info back. If you need to have me accept your friend request because you have more questions, I will be happy to do that. Just include that request in your friend request to me.
Thanks!
Good Morning Ladies! Hooray 11 days to go! Have a good day!
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!The week before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DrewsMomMary,
Not only do our SRs/Sailors leave, they leave all their stuff!! Boxes and the closet in their room is still full. Only our son/daughter is gone, along with their favorite, comfortable clothes!! That void that they leave is a tough one!! I have 2 other daughters (20 & 11) and have to take my focus off my Sailor daughter, but its so hard because she was the first to fly our nest and find her own path according to God's will. Everywhere I look, there are so many confirmations that this path is right for her: having the money through our tax refund to go to PIR, finding a real smoothie place in Great Lakes because that was the first thing she wanted, finding a great place not far from the hotel quickly because she wanted her eyebrows done, her classing up in only 2 weeks, her enthusiasm for her IT classes (as opposed to college classes)--so many things have just fallen into place!! God is SOOOOO GOOD!!
