N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Is tonite the last night for BS or Wednesday night?
Comment by diannep on April 21, 2015 at 10:23pm

NavyWife:  Yes, since this is the last night for BattleStations.  They are to call you by the day of their BattleStations if they didn't pass.

Congrats to the new sailors of 155/156/924!

Vivi:  I hope that this gets resolved quickly and everyone can move on.  I do believe that when on Hold, they can have their phones.  Take it....he will know during PIR weekend.  Prayers that all goes well and he is at A School soon after PIR!

I have good news and bad news. The good news is my son called and said he was now wearing a Navy hat. The bad news is he's being moved to THU on Friday afternoon due to the results of an allergy blood test. He has a medical appointment on Monday morning. I am feeling very nervous about this. He only found out about this today and was so tired I don't think he was processing everything. Can he have his phone in THU?

I got my call earlier.......My son is now a Sailor!!  One proud Mom.  Thank you all so much for all the support you give.  Looking forward to Friday.

I know we aren't really suppose to say when bs21 is but can we assume if we haven't received a "don't come to graduation" call, our sr passed their PFA?
Comment by diannep on April 21, 2015 at 4:03pm

You have another day to wait, Speciala!  Sorry about that!

Comment by Speciala on April 21, 2015 at 3:58pm

Can someone, anyone please PM me, if you get your I'm a Sailor call from div 157/158? Thanks and congrats to div 158, my son's in 157 but still very proud of his brother div

Comment by diannep on April 21, 2015 at 3:53pm

Keep the faith, Navy'an!  He will get another chance to pass tomorrow (Wed).  If so, he will do BattleStations with the next PIR group, on Thurs night.  That will mean he is at PIR, very tired, but in uniform!  I'm assuming this was his final PFA he didn't pass?  The run?  If so, pray for wings on his feet tomorrow!  Glad you are still going up....if his name is not on the list at the gate as a graduate, they can't let you in....but lets pray his name on that list!
