Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Got a call from my son this morning - he sounded good, and was doing fine until his sister teared up. He has 15 pages he wrote to us, but hasn't mailed it yet. Hopefully Wed we get a letter from him!!!

@Maddog8 I think they are. My daughter also said they're in one of the intergraded divisions so the only time they're all nice is when the guys are there. Oh the power of the opposite sex on your behavior! LOL Anyway, I'm glad your daughter said the same thing. When I send of a new letter today, I'll mention that she's not the only one feeling that way.

Lizzie Bear - Don't stress. My son arrived two weeks ago and I just got his form letter (tells you the Ship and Div) and the first phone call today. It may be a couple of weeks before you hear from your SR.

@KierstinsMom.....that sounds exactly like what my daughter said too. So glad you got your pc...now to wait for the letters. Although, she said evrrytime she tries to write at night she falls alseep. Do you think DIV 149 and 150 are brother Divisions?

I got my call from my daughter too. Mine got a bit teary eyed too, due to the lack of sleep. Said she could handle it but the drama of a few of other girls is worse than high school. Couldn't believe how rude they could be to each other. She only said she tries to keep her head down and do what's expected of her. Other than that it was what she had expected and thinks she's doing well. I'm glad she was honest but now it makes me worry even more.

Idk if my husband is even in any of these divisions because I haven't heard or gotten not one thing and he arrived last Wednesday. So weird but hopefully today I hear/get something :)

Just got my call to...he also said Division 151 is terrific...everyone gets along real well. He can't wait to start real physical training this week.

I just got off the phone with my son! So happy! We all got to talk with him. He's doing great and sounded so confident. He said today they're on day 1-4.
