Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 165 and 166.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I see your son is in the same as mine. It has been March 20 since I have had any contact.  I know he is fine Im just worried that I havent had contact in so long Im afraid maybe they had a set back.  I want them all to do well. Did he give any details of what they are going through.

My daughter called me today and I received a letter yesterday - Praise the Lord!!!  I believed she was doing well but just wanted to hear her voice!!! She is on Ship 09 USS JFK - she is my only daughter (she has 5 bros) and the only one in the armed services.  She joined on her own, so I am just too proud of her and the decisions she has made up to this far in her life.  She says she loves her shipmates, so hope we family members can get to know each other until the 4/26/13 graduation.

Hi Momma She :)   my daughter is also on Ship 9 USS JFK, I bet our daughters know each other.  I received a letter from her this past friday and also talked with her last thursday, it made my weekend to say the least!  she sounded wonderful and said everything was on schedule and her division were working well together!

I am very excited for graduation 4/26 and I hope to hear from you so we can share stories, plus I would love to meet you as well at graduation..

Hi, I am new to this group - better later than never! Watching the email posts is raising questions for me and I am hoping you can clarify.
Do you know when Battleship is for division165/166? My son is in 166. I thought it was two days before graduation.

I also thought their cap ceremony was after battleship. Then I saw posts, via email that I can't locate on this thread about the cap thing being today. I was expecting to get a call tomorrow or wednesday.

Did others get calls today? I saw that someone got a call today. I am starting to think I am all mixed up.

I also noticed people posting about the color of tee shirts - is there something we are supposed to do for our recruit? Hope I am not being nosey!

The good news isi have the underwear packed - I knew that would be an issue!!!
Thank you!!!

did anyone from Ship 9/division 166 hear from their recruit yet?  Should I say sailor?

should we be worried?   If they did BS last night would they call today or is it possible they didn't do BS yet?

Just worried something went wrong..... this is making me anxious  :o)

I guess the good news is that none of us got calls :o)

Another question....  I keep seeing that they are allowed 4 guests.  When we got the form letter from my son there was a black line through the 4th line for a guest.  Did something change since the original number we were told i.e. 3?   If so, is it too late to bring the 4th guest?  how would you do it?    Figure its worth asking ..... Thanks

My Sailor graduated 4/26/13 and I am STILL in aww!!! the graduation ceremony was TRULY INSPIRING and heart-felt!!! the atmosphere was electrifying and I COULD NOT be any PROUDER of her!!!  Spent the rest of the day with her, feeding her whatever she wanted and enjoyed all the tales from bootcamp!!! She is now in "A" school and I am grateful I can text her!
