Ahoy, RTC's facebook  page just posted that Div 924  and 127 won the Captain's Cup!!!!

There are also photos on the RTC facebook page of the 4/20 PIR. Anyone recognize their son or daughter ?

I just got the call!!!! I HAVE A SAILOR!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got off the phone with Colin ... A Sailor.. exhausted but happy 8pm-8am Battlestations. Div 924 has separate seating section!! Colin gave me a list  of things to bring... anyone else have son/ daughter staying in GL for A school??

Congrats!!!!!  My SR is going to battle stations tonight... I'm going to say a lot of prayers... I hope to receive the same call tomorrow.... woo hoo... to your Sailor!!!!!

Just spent an hour on the phone with my new sailor!  Yippee!  He sounded exhausted and excited all at the same time.  Said that Div 924 will take official PIR pic at 730am prior to PIR so if you're in the stands early you may get a first glimpse of your child.

Asked for cell phone and boxers!  Who knew that underwear would rank right up there with cell technology.  :)

Also said that Captain's cup was awesome and that because they won Captain's cup, they have a 'Pride' run tomorrow and the Captain will join them for the run.

Can't wait to see my son!

JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH MY SAILOR!!!!! She is staying in GL for A school-for OS

Colin is going into OS as well... He said they had to report 1300 Hrs to A School and would take an hour or 2 for processing before Liberty. See you @ Sarge's Thursday ?  I have a ton of questions about driving on base, etc.

Yes see Thursday-so excited

Got my call too. WOOOT WOOOT, said they did well at BS21 scored 4.8 out of 5.0. Pretty good is ya ask this mom. So excited. Shes going to SA for A school and her plane doesnt leave until 11 on Saturday. Extra time for Momma

They lay this newborn in my hands
Who could have known he’d someday protect this great land

Memories cascade of when he was my baby
Today my son stands tall in the United States Navy

A parent plants seeds, morals, spirit and love
Their child takes flight on the wings of a dove

As he makes his own journey, both near and away
I look to the heavens, keep him safe Lord I pray

I’ll wave ‘Old Glory’ at home with pride and elation
And give thanks for those daily who serve our great nation

Defending our country, honoring their quest
Safe guarding our freedom, shielding us from unrest

Our sons and our daughters at their very best
Standing guard as Navy Sailors from the East to the West

What a beautiful poem!     A special thanks to Matts Mama for connecting us all. It has been great to communicate with everyone ... It has made it a lot easier to bear. I look foward to meeting you and sitting with you in Div 924...

I am going to take liberty with this quote  I don't think the Kennedy's will mind  The quote h as been on my son's facebook page .. " Any man / woman who may be asked in this century, what he did to make his/ her life Worthwhile, can respond with a good deal of Pride and Satisfaction, "I served in the United States Navy".......John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK)
