~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Lala,
At least now he has the official diagnosis. He really needs to lower the cholesterol seriously because that and high blood pressure are both precursors to a stroke... Hope he realizes the dietary and nutrition changes are lifestyle changes, not just a temporary "diet". Blessings on the transition~~
MommaB: You should be able to give her those things at the airport---hopefully they will fit in her backpack....and then mail her clothes later, like Loralee suggested. It takes a few weeks to phase up to wear civies.
Thanks so much, I appreciate your kindness.
We found out today my hubby is diabetic and has high cholesterol. There are going to be some big changes in our house for sure.
Once sailors move over to GL A School base (shortly after PIR), they can return from Liberty with cell phones and laptops. For those flying out, the exchange needs to be made at the airport. They cannot return from Liberty to RTC with them.
I have heard some conflicting statements on the cell phones and lap top issue after PIR. Can we bring our son/daughters cell phone to them after PIR? Same regarding the lap top.
Momma B; she won't be able to wear civilian clothes for a while, during A School. So you will have plenty of time to ship them to her later. Phones, Lap tops are what most take to A School with them. (Some do want underwear to take with them.) Only what will fit in the backpack.
MommaB: She will have a large seabag, a garment bag (uniforms) and a backpack to keep up with. It is not advised to carry any other luggage....she has to manage her luggage herself....the sailors can't ask for help. The first 2 are checked luggage, the backpack carryon. It is best to take the suitcase, let her choose what will fit into her backpack when she visits with you on Liberty---you will give her these clothes at the airport....she cannot take them back to RTC)....and then ship the rest of them to her once she arrives at A School.
Lala,
Prayers for the Spillers' family and for all the others involved in this very, very, sad Washington mudslide~~
Good Morning!
"Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows."
James 1:17
So very very sorry, Lala. Prayers for all of the victims, families, and the workers/dogs on the Search and Recovery team.
Good Morning All !
