OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Melissa:  They get Leave after A School....if he is on HOLD when he gets to A School for a week or two, or longer -- waiting to "class up" -- he actually might be home on Leave when the baby is born???  You never know!  They usually get about 2 weeks of Leave if they want to take it then.

My son finished his A School in MS.  Took him 10 days to class up in the beginning.  Then he was on "hold" for almost a month after he finished before his orders came in.  So you just never know.

Well lets pray that is gets better soon and that no news is good news.

Thankfully my husband will have A school at GL for 14 weeks. That puts me around 36 weeks pregnant when he should be done. Most likely we will move where ever he gets stationed and I will be ready to POP!! I have mixed emotions about moving. I want to move because he is my husband and my family. He needs to be there as much as possible for the baby and I. On the other hand, what if he gets assigned to a ship that is out to sea? The navy wont let him fly off the ship to be there for the birth. :(

If i move with him and he can't come home for the birth I will be somewhere completely new, with a new baby, and no one to help me out. :(

If i stay here and have the baby here at least i could have my parents and his parents to help, if needed.

I honestly think there is too much up in the air to make a decision right now.

Whats your opinion??

Melissa, No,  I haven't heard anything, which I guess that is good, but this not kowing is hard.  I want to hear from him, but then again, if I don't then I know he was able to return.  I took off today just so I don't miss a call which I hope never comes.... This is Crazy!

Also Congrats on the pregnancy.  When I was pregnant with my oldest daughter who is now 21, her dad, was in bootcamp.  I actually moved to Alabama by myself so he could be present at the birth.  I know its hard!

Joelle415 - I'm sorry to hear your son has bronchitis. Have you heard from him lately?

When i talked to my husband (14/175) he said that there was someone who was sent to the hospital. I have a feeling he was talking about your son. I hope your son gets better soon! Hopefully they will let him get better and finish boot camp!

Melissa, that is super sweet of your neighbor and congratulations to you and your hubby.

MamaKrayKray, no sorry, I don't.  My sailor actually graduated from boot camp in 2010.  I just stay on the groups to help out.  :)

Thanks you guys! I almost cried when i saw the car was cleaned off! These silly pregnancy hormones are kicking my butt - with my husband leaving and everything! I am not usually one to cry, but WOW how that has changed!

This is our first child. We are really excited but nervous at the same time. We are going to wait until the baby is born to find out what we are having. :)

Betsy - do you have any ties to NE Ohio?  My son mentioned in his phone call that he made friends with a recruit from Maryland but has ties to NE Ohio.
