~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

msandi, waiting is so hard, but your secret is safe with me, I won't tell :)

Sorry I have been MIA, Yesterday was a crazy day. I had lots of work to get done and on top of that my oldest son, 30 yrs old, was really sick and ended up in the ER in Charlotte. They did a CAT scan but could figure anything out. Poor thing is in a lot of pain still but they sent him home. It is really sad when you feel like they are not   doing what it takes to make you better because you are uninsured :( Hopefully he will be feeling better soon.

The good news is I got my sewing machine out of the repair shop today :) YAY lol

Good Morning! just booked Navy Lodge rm with kitchen it was only $71 a night. Booked for 2 nights Thursday May 2nd and Friday May 3rd. Figured wanted to be as close to base for those 2 nights. Then figured he would probably be shipping out Saturday out of O'hare so booked Embassy Suites in Chicago, Then probably going to book a place near Pittsburg for Sunday night and be in my own bed in Virginia Monday Night. We decided after much thought to just drive. All my hotels can be cancelled with no charge and probably taking my 2 daughters age 11 and 9 with us so 4 flights with cancellation charge was just to pricey. Hope we have him through Saturday atleast. Might want to start booking Holiday Inn Waukegan was sold out already. Good luck

Ramsey:  It can take 2 weeks or longer for some to receive the letter.  But they can only send out one.  Is it possible that your SR sent it to someone else?  If not, then hopefully it will come soon.  Looks like others here are still waiting for theirs also.

Remember to put this letter in a safe place.  You will need the password in it to download your RTC gate pass 11 days before PIR.  So don't lose it!  RTC cannot give you this password...only your SR can.

Good Morning!
