N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

jlw_bsfnavy, that's so cute. My brother's in your BFs div. Brings me back to the days when my husband was in boot. I still have everything we sent back & forth to each other. :)

Hi diannep, good morning! i sent u a friend request. thanks.

Comment by diannep on April 12, 2013 at 11:04am

Ladies who friend requested me for BattleStations dates.  PLEASE don't hit ACCEPT.  Just read the info!  It goes away if you hit ACCEPT.  Thanks!

Comment by diannep on April 12, 2013 at 8:20am

I do have some BattleStations dates for this group.  If anyone needs their date, please friend request me with your division number.  I will friend request the info back to you (don't hit ACCEPT or the info goes away).  Wish there was an easier way to do this (we used to be able to post the schedule on here), but this is the only way to do it and keep the dates off of the public areas!

Good Morning All!

Hi everyone! My boyfriend is in ship 3 div 171. I got letters from him today and he's doing alot better now than when they first got there. I missed the last call because I was at work but he did leave a message so it was nice hearing his voice! :) I found a cute idea on the Internet. He says that he doesn't always get my mail everyday even though I write him everyday! I took and cut little pieces of paper and wrote cute things on them and folded them up and put them in an envelope that says DO NOT SPILL so he could read one everyday that he didn't get a letter or if he's lonely. I thought it was a cute idea and he loves it because he gets to open one everyday. Just an idea! :)

Thanks diannep, I will make sure we are both aware of that and have our phones handy.
