~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I have a question in my SR's letter dated 3/24 he said they were on 2-2 so does that means week2 day2? If so will they be finished with their training in time for PIR on 5/3? It will be his 4th Sunday at BC this weekend could he be mistaken about the week and days? And is this the point where things get a little less difficult for them?
ProudNavyMomma = I received a letter today and it was mailed before the phone call yesterday He said their division (13/170) was working as a division and not as a team yet. He sounded frustrated. That may be why no phone calls for a little while. He said quite a few of the SR's were getting IT? He said he was worried about a test they would have on Monday if they didn't pass it was a possibility of being set back a couple of weeks? I guess he passed no mention of it during our phone call. I'm so praying they start working together better
msandi(13/170) we got a call yesterday as well and it was the first time I did not hear my son cry(or myself for that matter...lol) so I would say there was a definite difference. Plus he is feeling much better after getting the bug that was going around there after their shots. My SR however did not mention anything about not getting anymore calls but he is 13/169 so I don't know if that makes any difference. He said he would talk to us on Saturday but I am sure that doesn't mean a darn thing if his RDC's aren't inclined to let them call.
Melissa, Push divisions are hard to follow in training. Their weeks and days are counted the same, but when they do things may not follow the "routine" schedule.
You may hear that the other divisions in the training group had gas chamber on week -- day -- and expect the same for the brother push divisions, only to find out they are doing it on a different day or sometimes even week.
I was so lost for the first several weeks when my son sent his letters. I could never figure out what they would be doing, it was never what I thought. LOL He was in BC for a total of 8 weeks 2 days, but processing and p hold was 15 days, training didn't start for him until his third week.
So my best advice is ask what day week/day of training it is, and then hold on to your hat because if it is a push division, what they are doing will not follow the other divisions time schedule. :)
he said they heard that week 4 is when time flies by and they are really getting along great then, + marksmanship and firefighting training comes then....so he can't wait for then. Now it's really stressful and hardly any sleep doesn't help. But he is handling it, has some friends and is getting along with the RDCs. It'll get better I hear from everyone who knows...
i here you on that one i have yet to receive a letter from my husband so im hoping to some today.. fingers crossed
Thanks! I will try to make sure to ask him next time i get a call from him! Letters can still get confusing because of the amount of time it takes to get there and come back!
hey mellissa my hussband is in div 173/174 and they are also in a push division, when i talked to him on saturday he said they were just starting 2-1 week 2 day 1 on tuesday, but im not sure haven't heard anything from him other then that..
Does anyone know what week - day division 175 & 176 are in? My SR left for RTC on 3/12 and i think he was part of a push division. I'm getting confused to where he may be in his training. I think he is in the beginning or middle of week 3 but i am not quite sure.
