For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Got my second one today. Wasn't expecting it so it was awesome. He is tired but doing ok. He is sleepy during the day and can't go to sleep at night. He is tired of that. They are down to 81 SRs now. So let's lift them up. He had watch already and they started twice a day PTs with spec. ops. He was excited about that. Other than that seems good.

Awesome about your second letter. Hope the sleep issue resolves itself soon. My marine came home and had issues sleeping when he was on leave between boot camp and MCT.

Addy---sooo happy for you! Can't wait until you get a call! I got mine about 5:00 today. It was really good to hear his voice. He said the RDCs were awesome guys. Said he had a cold and cough for a few days but stuck it out. No fever though. He said if he gets a fever he will definitely take care of it. Evidently, everything is going very well...he seems really happy. Also said letters are like gold.I asked if there was anyone he knew of that wasn't getting letters and he said everyone around him was getting letters.
