OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Events

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 171 - 172

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Has anyone heard from their SR recently?  I have not heard anything since the one phone call on the Saturday and the first set of letters sent home.  I'm just wondering.....

Same here. Every day I am disappointed when I get the mail after work. Hope I get a letter soon, I really need one.

I haven't heard from my daughter since letters sent home last week. Hoping for letters tomorrow, I'll let you know, ship 12, Div 172

My son said to expect letters on Thursdays. The GF received one today. Last week she received 3 or 4. He said they are staying so busy he would only have time to write one letter a week and half of that was written on the toilet..lol. Said to please keep sending on our end that it really helps. They should get phone calls this Saturday.
Got a phone call today :-)

Wow Ryans_Mom! Good for you! I got letters today -- much better than last week! Making friends, breezed past the swim and sit-up test, only needs 6 more push-ups to pass and cut a few seconds off the run. She feels empowered - even after getting 2 wisdom teeth out last week! Good day!

I didn't get a letter but gf did. I did get a phone call- he said he has been sick with upper respiratory infection so that makes running so hard. He said his division has dropped everyday - one time he messed up rank order, another recruit had a towel that wasn't perfect. He said they are spending their down time doing ironing and refolding laundry
