~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Liz'smom: I agree with mickey....please stay here. You are a part of this group, as your daughter is a part of her division---lots of support here. She still has today and Wed if needed to pass, and then she would be at PIR. You will get lots of support here for her and for you! I know it is hard to read about the new sailors in the group, even though you are happy for them, because of your daughter's situation. But hoping she will be one of them very soon!
Just know that this happened in each PIR group. The run is usually what trips up some of them. But most of them get it done before PIR and are there!
So hang in there...and prayers that your daughter has "wings on her feet" as she runs this morning. Please keep us posted!
Good Morning All !
Liz'smom ship 14 div 179 I am pretty quiet on here but I read everything but I felt I had to speak up for you. Don't leave the group you belong here all of us are here and supporting you and your daughter. I will pray for her today that she has a great run.
No calls yet- she gets to fun the PFA today again- I'm hoping and praying she passes- i feel like I'm in limbo and the fit groups aren't as tight- I feel like we don't belong anywhere- Thinking of leaving the group until I know if she'll PIR on Friday...
It's cold...that's the reports we consistently get.
Now, I was weird and was warm. I am thinking it was the long sleeve shirt etc...it was just me.
I would bring something as the seating is metal benches. Even if the temp is okay in there those things have a life...or should I say "no life" of their own. Cold and seeps into the skin.
I brought a poncho so I could either wrap up or sit on it or do both.
A question for the Admins, do any of you know if they run a heater inside PIR? Or does it stay cold in there? I just don't want to lug around a jacket if I don't need to--especially with hot flashes. Thanks in advance.
Oh yes, I am super excited about my new grandbaby coming :) I want to be called Ya Ya but it may come out as Lala since that is what everyone calls me lol. Our baby is due Aug 2nd and we are expecting a girl and she will be named Eastyn :) Congrats on your new grandbaby as well NavyMom <3
I hope everyone had a good weekend :) Sorry I was MIA, My bestfriend/sister-in-law is battling breast cancer and just had a double mastectomy last Monday. The tests from the lymph nodes were good :) Now just waiting to hear when she will start chemo. My niece is raising money and walking in Relay for Life this coming Friday night so I have been making stickers for her to sell to raise more money and ribbons for all 45 people on Team Deb to wear. Please keep her and and all the others who are fighting this terrible disease in your thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate it :)
Hello All~~
