~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Thank you for your prayers Coach!
Liz's Mom - I'm so sorry to hear that things didn't work out this time for your SR. It will probably be really good for her to get home and heal and have your love. I hope she gets the discharge code she needs. That would be wonderful if she could go in at the same time as her brother and they could PIR together. My thoughts and prayers are always with you guys. Thank you for letting us come with you on this journey. She will end up where she is supposed to end up.
Hi All- Not sure how many of you are still here. My SR will be home in about 2 weeks. She is being separated... She wants to come home and heal and get the to doctors to see what is really wrong with her legs. She is fighting for a discharge code that will allow her to return, with a waiver. She plans on some college and at a later date trying this again-- who knows maybe she'll try again when it's her brother's turn to enlist.. I wish you all well! Fair winds and following seas!
DeeDee - I am beyond happy for you. It's been a long road but he made it and I know you are so proud of him.
Liz's Mom - Liz's road has been long too but she will see the end. My heart goes out to you. As a mom we all know how hard this has been for you. You and your daughter are always on my mind. I know she will get past this and you will get your call. I'm sure DeeDee can attest that the longer the road, the sweeter it is when you get to the end.
I'm back and the news isn't good. now they are saying Shin splints and her bff died on Tuesday. I got to talk to her, and she tells me she saw the Doctor on Tuesday and it's more bad news, - she wouldn't tell me over the phone- she said she wrote me a letter about it- so I'm stuck waiting the "bad news letter" I don't know how much more she or I can honestly take...
Will do Deedee!
