It is so good that y'all are finally getting some letters. I know some of them may sound a little down in the first couple of letters but for most of them you will be able to see a difference in them as the time goes on. Each letter usually gets a little better. Just keep writing and encouraging. You and you recruit will get through this. :-)

Finally got the form letter today! My husband's PIR is 5/13/11 and he is in Ship 7 Div 169. He left a little message at the end of the letter :) Can't wait to hear from him again.

Finally I get to join this group.  My son is Ship 12 Div 167. Thanks for all the informaiton so far. It is so much needed. I got hte little note on the bottom of the letter I received yesterday. He actually thanked me for teaching him to pay attention to details and follow instructions. Wow you just never know what they learn from you until they need to use it and they recognize it. I just sent off 5 letters and a card and contacted everyone one they list to give out the address.

I look forward to meeting you all on graduation date. Is anyone from Martin County area in Florida?

I would book the hotel earlier as some of them fill up (especially the 2 bdr suites at Residence). Most hotels have liberal cancellation policies, usually up to the day before or day of arrival.  But I agree with ochaos that you should wait a bit on flights and you can wait on rental car.  Of course, if you book Southwest Airlines, there is no change fee.
