For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Thanks for starting this, my son too is in this division also. l look forward to sharing and preparing for what lies ahead. Many letters mailed today since form letter just came yesterday!

Yes my letter came yesterday as well had to send massive email out to family and friends, I was so glad to see that box and to hear from my son we miss him sooo much. Are aware of the best hotel to choose from that is located near the base ?

Well since there are only five SRs in the division they should get a lot of attention from the RDCs...hahaha...just what they would want. I was just counted I mailed 4 envelopes to my son today, totalling 1 card, 1 questionaire, & 7 letters. I made the mailman promise not to loose them, he is retired National Guard and did 2 tours in Iraq he promised to make sure they got there!

I took all the letters to the post office today and made sure none of them needed extra postage so that there was no chance of them being returned. Just finished today's letter and have included a couple self addressed stamped envelopes, thought that might make it easy. I have been reading so much on this site, it is awesome to have the knowledge and wisdom of so many mothers.

Hi jdmom,
I just found your note. Yes, this my second time around. My son graduated bootcamp February 18th and now its my nephew's turn. He's due to graduate 5/13!!! I'm so proud of both of them! Still waiting to hear from my nephew.... today I hope... and my son is graduating his A school in Pensacola on the same day! I'm so excited! My son just received his duty station...San Diego!!! Yey! ..and will be on the USS Ronald Reagan! This brings his close to home and I'll be able to see him on weekends!
