itsmemom:  She may be waiting for you to pay for them when you arrive for PIR.  You pay for them in the NEX afterwards.

We usually advise that you all not write letters this close to PIR...UNLESS you make copies of them and take those with you to PIR in case they didn't receive the originals.  They supposedly forward the mail to the sailors, but we know of many whose mail never arrived.  So take copies with you.

posters/banners for your sailor can be proudly displayed in your hotel room!  I agree with Jessica....they don't like them at PIR and may take them from you.

Also, remember...take piks quickly after PIR in the PIR Hall...they will clear the hall within about 10 minutes.  AND...there are absolutely NO piks allowed outside of the Hall on the base.  This is very much enforced and they will take your camera and delete.  So please remember!  Can you tell that I FORGOT when there and if not for a kind lady walking by, would have been in trouble!  :-(

Congrats to all of the new sailors today!

Does anyone know if we can bring flags and posters to graduation in support of our SR's??

My daughter celebrates Mother's Day (she has a son) by going through Battlestations...  then her 21st birthday is the Monday after- she gets to rest up after having gone through Battlestations!  LOL... what a way to enter adulthood!

6 Days to go.....
