Janlee - Thanks for your answers.  I kinda figured I wouldn't get to see my SR the night before, but just hoping.  I knew about gates opening, but didn't know the time of the actual ceremony.  Thank  you so much!  Now getting to the base so early will be worth it.  Also, I hadn't planned on sending a box - I had read from other moms that putting band-aids in the letter was better.

We all can hardly wait to see him.  Would love to see a glimpse of him on FB RTC sight, but doubtful that will happen.  I can only hope.

Mama--band-aids are always a big request from the recruits. The new boots give them blisters and its hard to march....i wouldnt send a box, just individual ones in an envelope...:)

oh and sorry--i just noticed your other question...lol The gates open at 6:30 am and the ceremony start at 9:00..:)

Also, forgot to ask - my son is a nuke.  He said there are about 4-5 other nukes in his division 168.  Who else has a nuke?  Would love to know.

Well, ladies - I finally got my first letter 2 days ago from my SR!  He wrote on every possible space he could.  Gave me a hint of what he's been going thru, but told me he could write a book!  He was trying to remember what day it was - he lost all track of time.   I'm feeling so much better knowing he's still alive and well!  I'll be sending band-aids in my next letter!

Question - This is probably too early to ask, but will we get to see our SR's on Thursday evening before PIR and what time does Graduation actually start on 05/13?  Just wondering.  Thanks for  your help in advance

I would have done the same thing Jessica, what ever happened to "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" ? I'm just sayin' lol. They should have picked up that letter :-)
