Last year the form letter took 14 days to get to me. I actually got a real letter the day before the form letter arrived. I think it has a lot to do with how long they are in P-days. So hang in there, hopefully you will get it this week.

NCRMOORE:  He may have just been a bit nervous the first time with the PFA.  I bet he will pass it the next time.  The SRs are a good about working with each other to push each other through.

Yes, as you are discovering, it is very hard physically and mentally for them.  They have to focus, focus, focus...and can't let up on their training...100 percent every time.  The good thing for all of you all is that you will see what phenomenal shape they are in after PIR.  No matter what great shape they were in when they left, they are meaner leaner fighting machines by PIR!  My son was always in good shape too...but I was amazed at how much better he looked at PIR. When I went to see him at his duty station last Fall (8 mos out of bootcamp), I told him he looked good but not as good as after PIR.  He said, "Mom, NO one looks as good as they did right after bootcamp."  :-)  Bootcamp is the combo of hard work daily, good food, sleep, etc...no smoking, drinking, etc....so all is in balance to create these great physically fit young men and women!  Just wait and see!

div 168 is allowed to write, my husband said I have a letter coming in the mail....just haven't received it yet

Hoping that more letters arrive tomororw since judyb got one today!  Obviously some are being allowed to write already.  It is totally up to the RDCs in each division on when they can write, but usually after 2 weeks, they are allowed to.

Fingers crossed that more letters arrive tomorrow!

judyb:  What division are you in?  Because obviously that division is now allowed to write!

janele---Sometimes form letters take a little longer to get to some than others. Mine seemed like it took forever. Is there anyone else that your son may have sent the info too? The address the recruiter gives you is usually a temp address until you get the actual letter from BC. Did the recruiter give you an address? ..if so, it should contain the ship/division. That part of the address doesnt change, so if there is one, it will be correct. You also can start writing letters and mailing them to the temp address, your recruit will receive them, but when the form letter arrives, start using that one. Give it another couple of days..then let us know if you still havent received it.."))
