OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yeah, I rarely have time to read the discussions as well. I spend several hours everyday going from one group to another trying to answer any questions and I think Diannep spends more time than that because she gets to the questions must faster than I do lol.

Diannep- do you know very much about FRG and what do I need to do to get signed up for the news letters?

Just ordered my flag.  It should be here about the time she does PIR, so I will be able to hang it once she gets the hat.

Does anyone know anything about A school in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri?
Comment by janlee on March 29, 2011 at 7:50pm

Yes! i would only recommend posting questions on the main baord. I would suggest the discussion groups be used to get to know other moms in the groups and fro discussing individual division topics. i havent been in a discussion group since i left mine...lol

Dr. Kimber---Im so sorry!!...i didnt see it. If you started it outside of this group page...i wasnt aware..im sorry. Thanks for letting us know..:)

Yep, same with me, Jessica.

Because, Ladies, we veterans are on ALL of the active PIR groups, which right now includes 8 of them...whewwww....in addition to other groups that we support.  So for sure, questions need to be here as we have little time to go through other groups!  :-)

Comment by diannep on March 29, 2011 at 7:25pm
In addition to posting in your division groups, please be sure to keep posting here on the main board....we veterans don't always check the division groups for questions so questions should be on this board.

for anyone just 'tuning in'..there has been several division groups started above by some of the moms...so far there is one for 168, 170, and 926. If there are moms/wives/etc...in any of these divisions...feel free to join the groups above, and if there isnt one started yet for your division...feel free to start:)) one...
