Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

SpecMom: Hotels recommended on this site by previous families attending PIR have been:
Navy Lodge...about a mile from base....good rates, simple but clean, renovated about a year ago....book in your SR's name if you do not have military ID yourself.
Holiday Inn Express, Springhill Suites, Courtyard Inn, Residence Inn, all close together, about 4-5 miles from RTC. Close to Sarge's MeetandGreet held the night before PIR for all families of the sailors. Call these hotels directly and ask for the Navy Graduation rate. We stayed at Residence and liked it....pet friendly too, as is Navy Lodge.
Shuttle service is available at this hotels (local service and Sarge's); Only Sarge's shuttle service available from Navy Lodge...book direct with him at 847 212 -0246 or johnspadaro@att.net---or book when at his MeetandGreet. Or...you can book the other local shuttle service at your hotel when you check in....both shuttle services charge the same: $3/pp each way. If you use Sarge's shuttle from the airport, he takes you to PIR for free.

Does anyone have any good hotel recommendations for family of 4? Also, does anyone know about any potential Meet and Greet events for Thursday evening? I'm trying to plan our trip to GL. Thx

Hello All,
"Pour out your hearts to Him,
for God is our refuge."
Psalm 62:8
Here is the chart for the required PT exercises in Bootcamp:
Yeah!!!!!!! Got my phone call from my son and my form letter. I tried not to cry, but I was so happy I did a little. He sounded sooooo different. He said he is having a tough time with push ups, and it has him a bit worried. He has met some friends, from Philly, Arkansas, Seattle, and Texas.
Thanks so much, Good morning everyone :)
Sorry 800 division! I had a typo. The 800 division should get phone privileges this Wednesday!!
