~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I just wanted to say if you haven't gotten a call yet, don't give up, it will come eventually!
I remember reading about all the people who were getting their call and it made me cry. I felt awful for not feeling happy for them, just felt sorry for myself. So I felt bad because I didn't get a call and I felt bad for not being happy for everyone else. Every time I logged on to Navy for Moms I would just cry and cry. My sister begged me NOT to log on anymore.
I'm glad I stuck it out, I'm glad that I got the info we might be receiving calls today. And most of all I am glad that finally after 18 days of nothing, nothing at all I got a call!!
Good for him avoiding all the germs. Tim was getting better already. He sounded so happy!
He isn't sick but said a lot are sick in174. ugh
Navy mom 49- was he sick? My SR said most were sick in 174.
We got phone call today also! He sounded very good. Mine is in ship 13 div 174
Well I am a happy mom. We got our phone call from our son this morning. He sounded really good. The call was only 6 minutes between hubby and I but it was good. He wanted to call his older brother who is also in the Navy. That makes me happy to know they get along so well now.
Should have been ship 13. Sorry for the confusion. Thata how excited I was!
I am so happy! I got 20 min phone call at 830 this morning. He sounded sniffley, but said he loved it! I tried not to cry when we hung up but they came out anyway and he said he missed me but he was good because of me and dad! Very proud day! Everyone that got a call today, congrats to us! 2 Friday's down!
