OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Cody, it would be unusual for all of them to call each week....with so many SRs there (5,000+), there wouldn't be time for all of them...but hopefully they will get 3-4 calls in during bootcamp....each division is different!

The I'm a  Sailor calls for this group will start coming in starting in about 3 weeks, but hoping you all get another call before then.

I wish I knew! It sucks waiting for a call and not knowing. One letter said that they prolly don't get any but then another she wrote a few days later said it sounded like they got one a week while there

Amen, diannep.

Good Morning!  It is a beautiful day....but not nearly as beautiful as it must be for the people of Boston waking up this morning!  God Bless all of the people involved with bringing this horrible tragedy to a "close" and many prayers/blessings for the victims/families as they grieve and recover.  You have a nation behind you every step of the way!

Comment by diannep on April 19, 2013 at 10:50pm

Nope, you aren't seeing things.  So our theory is not right.....we CAN see the flags before PIR.  Hmmm......

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on April 19, 2013 at 9:06pm

Uh...I'm confused. The site lists all of the Divisions from this TG and already has some photos listed for a few Divisions.

The link www.aomwr.com  takes me straight to a page that lists all of the Divisions. Three are up with the flag and I am guessing they are working on others or they have not been submitted yet.

Let me know if I am seeing things :-)

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on April 19, 2013 at 8:16pm

But no one will get to see the design until PIR and I think that is the whole reason behind this. The DIV flag is not supposed to be revealed until PIR and parents were posting pics of them on here and on facebook. Now that won't happen. I wonder if that is one of the reasons the other company lost their contract.

I order as much as possible online. Especially now that I have an injured knee. Shopping is just too painful. With a small business you have to order online to get what you need :)

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on April 19, 2013 at 4:58pm

On a selfish note...we all get to see the design as well :-)
