~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I did not get a call last night. I went to Easter Vigil Mass, held the phone in my hand for most of the two hours. Today should be the day!
Happy Easter to all! Has anyone from ship 14/div 192 received a call?
corvaigal: Does Southwest fly from your area? They fly into Milwaukee (45 minutes to GL) and Chicago-Midway (an hour or more from GL). No change fee for them, 2 bags check for free, and the price is usually cheaper going into Milwaukee. You may want to check out their rates! Keep in mind that I had to change my flights when my son was there because he was setback for a week, so that no change fee thing is a good thing! I wasn't on Southwest :-(.
Happy Easter everyone!
So no call I guess I can go to bed ... night all
We are from Spokane, WA. Hoping to get a cheap flight to PIR when the time comes. :)
I was happy to get my letter today. His GF goes to MEPS tomorrow and is supposed to ship out on Monday. I'm glad she has his address before she leaves. We would have loved for them to ship at the same time so we could go to both graduations. Hopefully there will be more than just 2 of us soon! Where are you from?
I seen a post earlier for a facebook page for this PIR does anyone know what the link is? Also how long does it take for someone to add you if send a request to be added? I missed my sons call today....devastated me...may sound dramatic but it really did....affected my mood the rest of the day....I miss him so much!
