~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Just got my first call from my daughter!  So excited!  She sounded great!  We talked about 40 minutes. SHIP 12 DiV 190   She said that their chief is awesome.  She was dubbed the Division yoman.  So proud of her. Extra work for her, but she is up for the challenge (as of now) She is having to do extra studies at night  though.  And she also said that they had swim quantification yesterday.  She passed!  YAY!

Puertorico, Crazy how they did have the same things to say... I'm just so happy they both passed the swim test... one less thing they have to worry about!

All others, its sounds like they are making phone calls with the brother divisions.  Both divisions do get 45 min to share... so please keep your hopes up!  Keep  your phone(s) with you at all times!  My son called when I least expected!

Vicky that is awesome!  My son left the 20th.  Don't think I will get a call tonight, but just in case, I will have my phone on vibrate in my hand during mass tonight. And I'll make sure to sit in the back incase I have to make a run for it.  It's so exciting to get these messages and feel all your excitement.  I'm sure I will do the same when I get my call.  Happy Easter Everyone!

Vicky you're so lucky!!! How awesome to hear from your son!!!  I just got off the phone with my older daughter (still home) told her still no form letter, but I was anxious for the mail on Monday.  Then she told me that Monday is a state holiday in California.  No mail.  I'm glad she told me, so I wouldn't be perched at the window all day, but that was one big lump in my throat that I had to hold back.  I'm so blessed to have you wonderful ladies on this site, you're my saving grace.  Thank you :)
