~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

What day did div 188-189 leave to boot camp? I was going to church tonight but don't want to miss if my son calls. It's seem soon for my son in div 192, but there is no way I am going to miss his call. I'll sit in church with the phone in my hand the whole time if I have to.
No worries janaismom, My husband is division 193 and I still have not received is form letter either. The veteran moms have said that in rare instances it can take up to three weeks. I pray it's in the mailbox every time I get the mail, but I know it will be coming. Stay strong, it's coming!
No form letter yet today either, and she's been gone since the 19th. Ship 14/Div 191. It scares me because some of you lucky moms got their letters, and are in later divisions. It's going to be a long, tough wait until the mail comes on Monday. I haven't cried since she got on the plane, but I think today is the day.
bonitacruzita! You got a note in your form letter! Lucky you! I had to open up my letter again to see if I missed anything and there was no special little note. But that's okay. I'm sure it's a boy thing : )
bonitacruzita: I think a 10 yr old would very much enjoy PIR. That is a good age for them to go, in my opinion. Harder for the ones that are under 4 or 5 yrs old since it is a long time. You have to get there 90 minutes to 2 hours early, and then the ceremony is 90 minutes long. So that can be challenging!
Jesssea: Wow! What a great chance meeting! I know those girls were happy to talk to a dad with an SR at bootcamp!
When my son was at bootcamp, he made the I'm Here call in the middle of the night (missed it as cell was off), then he called 3 days later on Thanksgiving. Only for about 5 minutes, but that was nice. He then got to call 10 days later. he was in a division where the RDCs allowed them to make a good amount of calls....but not all are like that.
I read your post about your brother and the 4 female sailors and of course it made me cry. What a wreck I am! Your letter is coming! I will tell you that the letter had a lot of info that I already new because of this site. I was expecting some hand written small letter along with it or on the back but all I got was a 2 liner that said I love you and miss ya with a big heart. Maybe your daughter will write some more details and maybe talk a little about how she is doing.
