Pray he gets to feeling better and the others as well. I'm also glad to know their getting closer. My last letter my son say its like he have several play brothers cause so many of them are getting along so well.

You may want to look into the Navy Federal Credit Union. We've been members for 25+ years and they've been great. He would have to open an account and then you could. Having a joint account works out well for paying bills for him when he is out on deployment. Just a thought.

We also have access to our SR's bank account so we can do bill pay and such if needed when on deployment... I recomend that everyone get a joint account or at the least be a signer on the account if ever you would need it...

Hi!  I hit the jackpot today!  I got 2 letters!  He's feeling great!  Told me what he had for breakfast and lunch  - goodness - they are not starving them!  haha!  They passed their Marlinspike but not as well as they should have (he said they really didn't work as a team).  He's gotten some 5.0's on inspections.  And is really excited about how things are more interesting now and it's making the time go faster.  Although he did say "There's no place like home"!  He sounds way more upbeat and happy with things - not 1 mention of "talkers".  So that's good!  Yay!  Oh!  And he passed his 2nd PFA with flying colors, better than the first one!

woohooooo! happy for you<3

Is there anyone who will not be able to make it to graduation who would like us to look after their son and at least invite them to dinner? I would hope that every one of the SR has someone to be with, but if not (because of cost, time, availbility etc.) then lets idenify them and see if we can divide them up and assure that they have someone to be cheering them on and see that they too have a break from the barracks.

That's a great idea Knit!

I agree  - great idea!

I received two letters from my SR today!!!  He said that they completed the "Marlinspike" and it was fun!   I think he liked the fact that it was one of the only times they could yell and scream to motivate the others!  He passed his PFA, received sharp shooter on the gun range, says they did very well on two inspections they had in one day. His letter was very upbeat and he sounds great!

15 DAYS!!!!

I rec'd letters from my SR too! He sounded really good is getting excited to see us. Said he is very tired and very busy and managed to get pink eye in both eyes....No mention of talkers this time. He just said that they are really busy getting ready for the next two weeks. Can't wait to see him!!!

I had received 2 letters also!  And he sounded so much better and positive!  He too mentioned the marlinspike and the shooting and no mention of talkers this time either!  Hurrah!  Maybe things will be great for them from now on!  12 more days!  WooHoo!

Anyone from our div get a phone call? Wish we would
