N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

To add to my post below, the drive from Milwaukee to GL is about 45 minutes....no traffic and cheaper car rental.  The drive from Midway is an hour+ depending on traffic....but keep in mind that it is also one of the airports the sailors may fly from if you plan an airport visit with your sailor.

I would like to suggest Southwest Airlines also.....because they have no change fee in the event your SR is delayed in training...and 2 bags check for free.  They fly into both Milwaukee WI and Chicago-Midway.

Here is a link to some of their specials:

Hell Week in Bootcamp, Training Week 4, is a very busy week for them.  Lots of inspections, up earlier, lots to accomplish, but they get it done.  BattleStations is their FINAL TEST and given after Training Week 6.  They are sailors after that!

I heard from my son last time he called that this past Monday, 4/13/2015, was Day 1 of Week 2 of training.  Hope this helps sort it out.  (Ship 13/ DIV 185)

Remember your SRs have six weeks of training, processing and p hold are not counted in those training weeks.

Days of the week are counted for training days, weekends and federal holidays are a "hold day" and are not counted as training days.

Day one of a week can start on any day Mon-Fri, if Day 1 of Week 1 is on Tuesday, Day one of week two will also be Monday etc.
