I thought I'd mention to you guys, the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command Facebook page uploads pictures from basic training every few days, and I've been prowling them constantly to see if I can see my fiance. No luck yet, but you all might see one of your loved ones! I had a friend who saw her husband in a few!
I too saw my daughter . I m sorry I didn't mention that page. I just assumed everyone knew about it. I have a section on my face book page that has a billion Navy pages if you or anyone one wants to add me.
Does anyone know how someone may have gotten into this DIV if they have no musical or drill background. What could they be doing as part of this group to be in a 900 DIV group? Just wondering.
I forgot to mention, I had a "very" quick call from my son this past Monday around 2pm CST. First my cell rang and I saw the display said BLOCKED, but by the time I grabbed it to ans, the ringing stopped. Than my home phone rang and it said PRIVATE CALLER. I grabbed it as quick as I could and it was my son. He said "Hi mom, its Matt", lol, like I did not know!! I immediately said "I Love you", how are things and he replied, "this is not a liberty call, I just need my checking account number". It took me about 3 minutes to retrieve this info as he returned his checkbook in "THE BOX", so I could not believe they allowed him to call for this info....but I was happy! I gave him what he needed and he quickly said "love you and I'll call in a few weeks". I don't know if he meant that literally, or just said it, but I was thrilled to hear his voice. If anyone gets a call thats BLOCKED OR PRIVATE...answer it FAST!!! I'm also wondering why he would be setting up direct deposit now and not during P-week. Surely they are done with their processing days as I thought only once processing was complete, they are assigned to their divisions and I rec'd the form letter with his DIV over a week ago, so I'm a little confused about that, but otherwise happy to have heard his voice!
Wow , You Lucky!!!! To hear his voice is AMAZING and I am so HAPPY for You!!!!
And to answer your question about getting into this div. I really don't know......
Does your son Sing, or play and instrument, or carrying a flag? Maybe he could be helping out at the ceremony in some way as earlier stated by someone.
My daughter can sing , not professionally But she is a good singer so maybe she told them she could IDK, but for some reason Our Loved ones are in this Div. So I guess maybe when we receive our First letter Hopefully we will find out :)
Thanks for your answers. I guess I will be surprised....I sure hope he does not stand up and start singing!!!! I can't wait for a "real" telephone conversation. Such an exciting time!! Thanks again for the responses.
My daughter was also in the pic 5th on the top! Made my day! Now if I could get a letter, has anyone received a letter yet? Another resource to add on here is the group the 900 Division , lots of great info!:-)
Saw a picture of my fiance in another picture in that album!! It was so good to lay eyes on him!
