~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Oohh, I didn't know we could print them yet!! I will check it out...Thanks ClerMom!
Printed my Gate Pass! It's all coming together! Very excited!
They probably wait until all the Divisions have gone through BattleStations, and then have one huge pizza-fest, lol!
I think ellen knows what restaurants are at Ricky Heaven so hoping she will post that when she gets back on here! I do think there is a Taco Bell, but not sure???
Yes, NanM: When my son was there, they got to enjoy a pizza party.....his was held during PIR week, even though he completed BattleStations the week before.
Yes, at Navy Lodge, they will probably tell you that at some point, your SR can stop by the front desk just to show ID. Not sure they enforce this all of the time, but I believe they ask that you do that. No reason to panic! It will work out fine!
Okay, that is what I thought. It does say the sponsor has to be there at check in on their site though. Do our SRs need to go at some point to show their ID at the Navy Lodge? Sorry for my momentary stage of being panicked!!! Yikes!
The Navy Gateway Inn and Suites is on the TSC base, and the Navy Lodge is located in the family housing subdivision.
The Navy Lodge will put the reservation in your recruits name if you don't personally carry DoD identification. Your SR is your sponsor to stay there, and they are not required to be there with you at check in time. You and your sailor are able to come and go freely from the hotel. Your sailor may need to stop at the desk at some point to verify.
The Navy Inn and Suites will require a background check if you do not carry a DoD or military ID. If your sailor is staying in GL for A School they must submit a chit to visit you at the hotel, as the hotel is normally off limits to them. That chit can be approved, denied and taken away if approved. You will also be limited on where you can go on base without your sailor.
Yes that is what I was told as well. Our sailor is our sponsor. They put the room under their name as sponsor. It is off base so you can have a cell phone there LOL Im sure my son will want to call all his firends.
