Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to reserve my hotel room with a full kitchen so that I can cook my SR a nice dinner while I am at GL for PIR on May 30th.  I found these two hotels and was wondering if anyone has stayed at either of these hotel and could give me some information on them, if so, is the hotel in a good area of Chicago and is that too far from the base, are they nice clean hotels.

I was hoping for a long letter today.....but I got something just as good if not better! Got a Happy Mother's Day note from my SR that says "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY from me and all the guys in 929"!!!! It's signed by 27 different SRs, plus my son! :D so not quite ALL the guys, but pretty darn cool anyway!! Sure wasn't expecting that!!

Still hoping for a phone call on Mother's Day though.....I hope that doesn't sound too greedy :-/

Thank You to CatMom, diannep, and cindyb for all the information on the schools and Nuke Mom sites!! I will try to check them out soon. Having trouble keeping up with N4M and FB emails, lol!

Don't feel too bad KemMom I have only received one letter as well. He actually wrote 5 and put them all in one envelope but it was like getting one long letter. I was hoping for one today but no such luck. Maybe we will get one tomorrow or sat. I am still hoping they will allow them to call on Mother's Day. It would be the best present ever.
Comment by diannep on May 8, 2014 at 10:57pm

Yes, Laurie.  Brother divisions are on the same training day.

Comment by cindyb on May 8, 2014 at 9:17pm

Not sure. It would make sense if they were on the same days.

Comment by Laurie1029 on May 8, 2014 at 9:05pm
If div 184 is on week 5 day 1, does that mean that the brother div 183 is on the same day?
