~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Well I did not get a letter today either. Maybe tomorrow he will write. I am not going to get my hopes up to high this time tho. It was rough. Anyway all I wish for is for him to be doing well. Thank you all for your wonderful support. You have been great at keeping me in the loop. He must not be too lonesome or homesick :)

NanM, omg that would be so much fun. but i dont know any of it. is it just a dance i can learn?

looks like i am flying solo, hubby and daughter staying home the trip is just a little too expensive. ~ its ok though, my hubby is his step dad, and his real dad is going to be there, certainly not going to be hanging out with him so much. lol..

NanM:  They will probably not know yet if they are leaving Sat. or Sun, but chances are it is Sat., which means they are bussed to the airports in the middle of Fri night to wait for flights.  Yes, you can tell him anything you want from what you learn on here....but remember that we don't have their flight info!  They won't receive that until shortly before PIR.

Missed a call from my SR yesterday and was heartbroken :( Walked away from my phone for TWO minutes!

Sent a quick text to his sister and Dad to see if they heard from him. Sis missed his call...she had also just walked away from her phone, but he did get ahold of his Dad. Hubby sent me a text letting me know he had just gotten off the phone with him and he sounds good, has made friends (that he wants to spend liberty with!!!) and "gets to" do some training next week that he's obviously looking forward to. Dad reminded him WE will be there for PIR and his liberty! I don't think he has a clue how little time he is going to have for liberty! Do they not know yet that they will ship out that night/early morning?!? Is it ok to tell them?

Happy Saturday everyone! I WISH I could work in the yard or have some fun, but I have to work today :( It rained last night, but looking nice now. If it stays nice for tomorrow, we will take a motorcycle ride to the Flower Fields, down toward San Diego way. I can't wait, the fields are just bursting with color! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Navy Family, I hope you are all having a great Saturday and doing something fun. Are you planting flowers, working in your yard? Spring is in the air for sure. My Dad and I are heading to a place in SC called Strawberry Hill, The berries are in and I can't wait to taste them. I will be putting a bunch of them in the freezer :) Happy Saturday everyone!
