My son is ship02div929

Cool! Are you a first time mom in the navy? I am. Just looking for someone to connect with that has a son/daughter in the same division. Have you heard from him yet? I received a letter this past week that was Very Short. Have not received a phone call. Hoping to get one soon.

my son is also in this division, got a brief letter on thursday but no phone call, he sounded good in his letter, cant wait to get a phone call though.

I'm with you. I can't wait to hear his voice and hear how he is doing. Not being able to talk to him is by far the hardest part!
Have you made your hotel res. yet? We made them after we got our letter for fear there wouldn't be any rooms left. Perhaps I was a little over zealous!

Our son is! Got a letter from him last Wednesday. Says it's hard, but getting better every day!! Still waiting for that 3rd week phone call...can't wait to hear his voice!

Still waiting here too! Hopefully we will all get our call this week.

I got a letter wed also, I was glad to hear from him. I miss him so much. And yes Im a first time navy mom.

My son is 929. Have received one letter but no phone call. Am first time Navy mom, first time armed forces mom.

Glad to hear I' m not the only new mom to all of this! Are any of you planning on going to any of the meet and greets?

Received TWO letters from my son Jordan today. Loves his bunkmate, says it has been smooth sailing since after the 1st week which was HELL. Has already passed his physical fitness and swimming test and will be a "Bodysnatcher" at his PIR and the two PIRs prior to that. Got the peanut butter shot, hurt for four days, has had his wisdom teeth pulled and had a two day mini vacation after that. Said he might be able to make a phone call this Friday, the 27th and if we don't answer the phone may not hear from him again until close to the end of boot camp. He misses his dog and wants us to bring her to Chicago so he can see her. Guess we'll have to stay at a Motel 6. Thinks he will have to check in to his "A" school after PIR and before he can leave with us but not sure. He sounded awesome - so happy to hear from him I cried. Hope all you moms get a letter soon.

Got a Letter from my son today. He said he is doing good and  the food is really good. He also got his wisdom teeth pulled. He said he might get to call this fri. I hope so, want to hear his voice so bad.

got two letters today, he says they all just got their letters from us last thursday, he got 15!  also said everyone cried when getting their mail! He seems to be well and says the food is great!
