Me, me, me !!!

Close..... Ship 07 Div 170

Yes!! My son is. I am from Atlanta GA but my SR came out of Richmond, VA. I am proud to say he is helping to design the division flag up there!! I can't wait to see all this come to fruition in just a few weeks! I am hoping we moms might get a courtesy call on Mother's Day :) - one can dream

Pavaga...your SR is in div 169?    Yeah!   I was starting to feel like there were only 2 SRs in this div.  Now, there are 3!  LOL!!        I am so excited about the flag.  I can't wait to see it.   Since we've only gotten one call so far, maybe Sunday will be a great day to hear from our SRs.

WOW!!!  There is 3 of us now!! I cant wait to see it all, see everything and all the changes in my SR.  I got a call last Monday for about 18 minutes, he sounded ok. No letter this week so far, but it would be great to hear from him on Sunday thats for sure!!  Pavaga...are you attending graduation (PIR) ??

OH yes - would not miss it for the world! it is gonna cost me some big bucks but this is a once in a lifetime event - I am bringing my 88yr old dad who is a WWII veteran and a plankowner on the Midway - he will get to see his grandson graduate the same Navy he was in - I get all choked up every time I think about my dad watching this event!! Does anybody know of the contact phone for the Navy Lodge? I still need to reserve rooms and a car - any advice?

I have to admit, I got lucky with phone calls - my SR needed extra personal info for security and he had to call me a couple extra times. He said things are really great - there are a few that are struggling some and some of the group is not good about the concept of teamwork but for the most part, he said the guys are helping each other and the training is great, food is awesome and the schedule is intense. He said most in the div had some bug going around but they pushed through it - he sounded like he had a BIG headcold when I talked to him. don't worry moms, they are in good hands :)

Thier number is 847-689-1485.  a 2 bed with small kitchen is $66.00 and 2 bed without kitchen is $65.00.

We are actually driving it from Texas. Its cheaper than flying, renting a car and all.  Yes it will take us 16 hours to get there but we will drive half way, spend the night and get into Chiacgo before the Meet the Sarge event that night on Thursday.  We are staying Thursday to Monday morning at the Navy Lodge.  We want to make sure if our SR is lucky enough to have any extra Liberty we want to be there to spend it with him or be available to sit with him at the airport. If not, we have internet friends and family south of Chicago and we can then go see them!! I hope to see them anyways.

YEAH!!!   We are driving in from TX too and staying at Navy Lodge.   I'll see you both at Sarge's on Thur nite!!!   I'm hoping to arrive into town by 3 pm.    I'll definately be running on adrenaline.    Pavaga, I sent you a friend request.

hi...still learning my way around this site...my son is on ship 07 div 169...i have not seen these numbers until today...duh!  anyway i can't seem to find out the routine about the PIR...i know there are 4 guests on the list but are we called in by name and sit together...i know if there are other people they go in first come first serve...we have a free shuttle from our motel to the PIR, so thankful!  thanks for the help!

I think thats not correct....People that are NOT on the list have to wait until all of us that were invited to be seated first, then if space is left they will be given the chance to take a seat.    Where are you staying??  I know we and Brandi are staying in the Navy Lodge located by RTC.  Singlelady, where is your SR from and where will you be traveling from??  Do you know about the Meet the Sarge on Thursday night for friends and family to attend??

my SR is from Louisiana...i will be flying (free) thanks to my boss...i'll fly into ohare and my sis will pick me up...i was just reading about the meet and greet at different places on thurs night...is there a certain one you would suggest?  i just don't want to miss out on anything or (especially) do anything wrong...and i want to make sure the 4 on the list sit together...
