Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Don't forget you should be getting another phone call soon too!!!  That has to be so frustrating....I am always so afraid to leave my phone...just in case he would get an extra call...but we will get to hug and kiss them so soon!

Hi everyone!! I got 3 letters yesterday from my daughter. She said she passed personal & dynamic inspection with 0 hits (both last week), but the division as a whole didn't do so well. She also said they went through the gas chamber. She didn't like it, said it was hard & it burned.. didn't want to talk about it much. They are still marching on their own, & had a damage control class last week. She said a lot of people are sick,  2 girls got scabies, & the RDC's were sick also (when they get sick they call it "recrooties" lol Her & a few others haven't gotten sick in a while. 

There are some pix on the Navy Recruit FB website, & one of the ladies on here thinks her daughter is in one of the pix, so please take a look & let us know if you see your SR.

Yes, she is on the fb page...behind  a guys chin....so very small face.  she looks very tired...forget what page...I will post later as I cant access fb at work...thanks all hang in there only one more week....lol!

I got the call too! My husband didn't say if they all passed, just that the division as a whole  didn't do as well as the RDC's expected; not sure what that means. He's really sick again; he says the other SRs call him the walking plague lol! At least it's done and hopefully he can get some rest!

Just got the phone call! My daughter is an Official Navy Sailor. So happy!

Well!!! she's a sailor!!! Of course, the BF got the call!!! that's ok!!! she is exhausted and said all 166 passed.

She requested for me to bring underwear!!! too funny....wants out of the granny pannies!!! LOL!~!~~~~~~yippee!

 

Same  here. She said she is tired of the Granny Panties!

Congratulations ladies!!!!! She told me the div got a 4.2 out of a possible 4.5.. not as well as they wanted, but they all passed! She also said no more drills, inspections, or anything else.. so now they get to rest! Can't wait to meet all of you at PIR!!!! HOOYAH DIV 166!!!!!
