Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Yes, we think that 189-192 may have gone through last night.  Not sure about 191/192, but maybe!  Phones close this afternoon.  Calls can come in after 2 pm Central time!

Happy Friday! One week from today, we will be at GLRTC! Congrats to those graduating today! Can't wait for someone to post that for us!!!!!!!

My son is in the same division.  He had thought they were doing it on Tuesday, but haven't heard anything yet, so I'm assuming they haven't.  Keep our fingers crossed and so looking forward to next Friday

I wonder if Division 189 has done their Battlestations test, or if their doing soon.  When my son called me last Saturday, he said that he'd call me this Friday (tomorrow) around 2p, so I'm assuming that's supposed to be the call their going to make to let us know their Sailors. That's just an assumption, but I'm anxious to talk to him again, so keeping fingers & toes crossed he does call tomorrow.

Just a little over a week left, yay!! I can't wait for PIR :)  I just wanted to share this gift idea. My friend's dad just opened this Etsy shop with these awesome bolt action pens that are ideal for boot camp graduation gifts!! I ordered this one with Navy colors and gun metal finish. I think my sailor is going to love it!! Here is the link if you're interested: https://www.etsy.com/listing/190188026/bolt-action-cartridge-pen-in...

hi Jst bear. look at the papers that came in the box, it says his job and you can figure out his school. My SR knew way before she left for BC where her A and C school were going to be which helped us plan a lot of things ahead

@bunchesomom. My son will graduate on June 6th. He hasn't shared with us yet what he'll be training for in A school
