~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Lala Ribbon, cool picture!
bunchesOmom, I hope you get your SR's call today as I know how it feels to be anxious and nervous on what is happening with them.
CatMom509, I'll for sure be hanging around Navy for Moms for quite awhile, as it brings so much useful info and we get to chat, and it's always inspiring.
Also, just want to let you all know that the Facebook page for U..S. Navy Recruit Training Command usually posts many pics of PIR. If you spot your Sailor in these pics, you can Download them to your own computer by clicking on the pic, then going down to Options to download OR you can right click and Save Picture As to your computer~~
CONGRATULATIONS to all the new Sailors and their families!! Traveling mercies as you make your way to Great Lakes~
Remember, PIR is only the start of your Navy journey! Stay plugged into Navy for Moms as we have groups for A school, C school, ratings (jobs), ships, bases, states, regional, Twins and Multiples, and the Christian Chat that I am a member of. Continued blessings to you all~~
Hi All!!
"Who are those who fear the Lord?
He will show them the path they should choose."
Psalm 25:12
Good morning,
Lala Ribbon Queen, I missed out on getting 6/6 PIR ribbons for me & my son.
Matt's.mom, oh yes, I'm super excited!! Couple more days. I keep reminding my coworkers of how many more days, so they're excited with me as well :)
My son from Div 189 is supposed to call today, to let me know his flight schedule of when he'll be leaving for A-school after graduation, as I'm planning to sit with him at the airport till he boards. I want to squeeze in every last seconds to hang out with him.
I made it to CA Sunday night My first flight was amazing, I loved every minute of it and stared out the window almost the whole entire time. It was so so cool. Here are a couple things I wrote in my journal lol.... I've seen it in pictures but it's just not the same as looking at earth from the view of a plane..... There are circles and squares and lumpy terrain but I haven't a clue and there's no one to explain.....471 miles per hour feels like turtle speed. What -48 degrees? It's cool that you can follow the path of the flight and see so much info. I wish it would tell you what is below like the mountain ranges, deserts etc :) Here is one of the pics I took..... Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high.....
Anyone else getting excited?? :)
Thanks so much everyone, I know you all will wear them proudly. Those who ordered this past weekend have all been shipped to your hotels yesterday and should be there at the front desk waiting for you when you check in :)
Good Morning! I'm a Sailor calls this afternoon from 193/194 and maybe 930? All remaining divisions keep phones close this afternoon for whichever calls come in!
