For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 209 and 210
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Hi, our SR is in Div 210, he called today too and we've received a few letters. The confidence in his voice was reassuring. He told us he is the Weapons PO.

My son called on Saturday. Sooo happy to hear his voice. Great Mother's Day gift. Each call sounds a little better. He said he was switching divisions - Ship 14, DIV 209 - I guess they are having lots of problems in that divisions. He's happy about the switch. Draw back is his PIR got pushed back a week to 6/19. He passed all his PT except for the run (I'm a marathon runner so I gave him a lot of pointers and encouragement on running) He'll get it. He didn't have to have his wisdom teeth pulled, so I'm happy about that. Anyone else that had the PIR pushed back?

Erich's mom did he eave 14/209 or he got switched to it?
I heard that there having a hard time with the work outs. Found someone hiding in the bathroom. They don't want to do the work outs and getting fed up. They are dropping out or getting kicked out. They feel that its too much. And it sucks for those that leave because of medical reasons. And they want to be there and cant. I hope the rest pull through.
I told my son to keep them motivated. Why go through all of that and just drop out cause of exercises. Just keep praying for the unity between them.

(Not sure if this went thru b4) He Left 209 and will go to new div not sure of # yet. He's happy about it. He passed all his PT except for the run. I'm a marathon running so I gave him lots of words of encouragement. The not smoking for 3 weeks now he says it's easier to breathe. It was good to hear from him. Still hoping to see pics on FB but nothing yet
